As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve taken time to reflect on what 2025 taught us about pets, people, and community. This year taught us, not just about professional pet care, but about the families, neighborhoods, and communities we serve. We’re proud to care for pets across Katy, Cypress, West Houston, and Fulshear. We’re honored to provide trusted pet sitting and dog walking services while learning, adapting, and staying connected to the people and pets who rely on us.

Ongoing Growth in the Pet Sitting Space
One of the clearest trends we saw in 2025 was continued growth in the pet care industry. Every day, we see new pet sitters and services popping up in and around Katy. While competition is nothing new, it pushed us to sharpen our focus and clearly define who we serve best.
Unwaivering Focus on the Families We Serve
At Animal Admiration Pet Care, our ideal clients tend to be households managing careers, packed schedules, activities, and often the added responsibility of caring for children and/or aging parents. These families don’t just need pet sitters; they need dependable partners who help keep their lives running smoothly.
Systems that Set Us Up for Success

In 2025, we made the thoughtful decision to introduce a last-minute service fee. Same-day and short-notice requests can significantly impact logistics, staffing, and carefully planned routes throughout our high-traffic service areas of West Houston, Katy, Cypress, and Fulshear. This fee allows us to remain responsive and accommodating while preserving the high standard of care and reliability our clients expect. Setting clear boundaries ensures that every pet receives the attention they deserve, without compromising quality for those who scheduled far in advance or had a last-minute request.
The Power of Communication
Another powerful lesson from this year was the importance of communication in unexpected situations. During an incident involving police presence in one of the neighborhoods we serve, our team and clients came together quickly to prioritize safety. Open communication, situational awareness, and mutual trust allowed us to adjust visits, confirm pets were secure, and keep everyone informed in real time. It reinforced something we already believe deeply: professional pet care isn’t just about pets, it’s about partnership, transparency, and collaboration.
Celebrating Our Local Community
This year, we’ve solidified why honoring our local community matters. Being embedded in the Katy, Cypress, West Houston, and Fulshear communities means we understand the rhythms of these neighborhoods and the families that call them home. To better serve our clients and their neighbors, we respond quickly when circumstances change, act with care when safety is a concern, and respect our local resources, contributing to our beloved community rather than taking from it.

We also do our best to support local animal shelters and rescues, partner with fellow local businesses, such as the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, and participate in local events that uplift our community.
Honoring The Work We Do
Above all, 2025 reminded us how fortunate we are to do this work. Spending our days caring for cats, dogs, and other companion animals is more than a job. Our work is meaningful, grounding, and genuinely good for our souls. From enthusiastic walks to quiet check-ins, pet care moments bring joy not only to the animals but also to us, with the added bonus of providing busy professionals and families with peace of mind!

What 2025 Taught Us About Pets, People, and Community
As we head into a new year, we carry these lessons forward: stay focused on who we serve, communicate clearly, support our community, and never take for granted the privilege of caring for the pets who are family.
We thank you for trusting Animal Admiration Pet Care and for being part of our journey in 2025. We look forward to serving you in the new year and for many years to come!
