Fatherhood comes in many forms! Whether you’re wrangling toddlers, tossing tennis balls for your dog, cuddling with your cat, or making sure the chickens are tucked in at night, this blog post is for you. Dad Jokes, Dog Walks, and Cat Cuddles
What would we do without dad jokes? Whether we’re groaning at a pun or laughing until we cry, dads have a knack for bringing humor to every situation.
That same sense of fun makes them excellent playmates for pets. Dogs know that when dad grabs the leash, adventure awaits. Cats, even the most aloof, can’t resist a dad armed with a wand or a treat. Chickens? They know who brings the best snacks and the most entertaining chicken coop banter. Here’s Todd (left) watching a game with a chicken. Need I say more?!
Dedication That Knows No Bounds
Dads are famous for their dedication. It doesn’t matter if it’s a midnight bottle for a baby or a 6 a.m. walk for a pup with a belly ache, Dad’s on it. He’s the one who builds the chicken coop, learns the difference between a Maine Coon and a Siberian, and can spot a tick from across the room. (Gross but yay!)
Dads also meet pet needs, from vet visits to school pickups, with a calm and steady hand. Sure, many dads have to ask repeatedly why the pet is at the vet – at least that’s what I always see on social media – but they are the first to sign up for nail cutting duty when mom says she’s too scared.
