Following our mission to provide the best in personalized care for your pets, we require an introductory consultation meeting for all new clients. The consultation meeting is just as important to us as the pet sit visit itself.
When and where does the consultation meeting take place?
The consultation meeting will take place right at the residence of the new client. The meeting will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time set up between the pet sitter and the client. We request approximately 20 minutes of your undivided attention for this meeting to take place.
What happens during the consult?
A consult, simply put, is a chance for both the client and pets to meet the pet sitter right in the comfort of the pet’s home. Scheduling the consult on the pet’s turf gives the pet sitter the best glimpse into the behavioral tendencies and overall needs of your pet. Just like people, some matches are just not made in heaven for one reason or another. At this time, we can try to ascertain if any behavioral tendencies or territorial behaviors exist that may be a roadblock to us providing superior service to your pet. The safety of your pet and our sitters is a priority to us as Animal Admiration.
Mike Murdock once said “The Secret of your future is hidden in the daily routine.” This is not only true for people, but also rings true for our pet sit visits! Knowing your pet’s routine, or not, can be a great predictor of the pet’s overall success while you’re away. The pet’s routines will also be discussed during the consultation meeting. This discussion may include, but is not limited to: dietary needs, restrictions (if any), regular walking routes, location of leashes, toys, food, bowls, cleaning supplies, etc.
We all like to know what exactly we will be getting when we enlist the services of any company, especially when that service involves our family members – pets included! During the consult, we will do just that for you by outlining exactly what you can expect from us before, during and after the pet sit visit. All services, fees and expectations of both parties will be outlined in a contract provided to you during this meeting.
Keys to the Kingdom
At the consultation meeting, we will also collect two copies of house keys that have been tested prior to our arrival. You can also provide us with any alarm codes, garage key pad codes or mailbox keys as they pertain to your home.
There is no fee for the consultation meeting provided a contract is signed at that time. If services are not contracted at this time, a fee of $25.00 will be charged. Should an additional consultation meeting be requested, we will happily accommodate our clients however, a full pet visit fee will be charged.
During the consultation meeting, we can also address any other questions, comments or concerns the clients may have. As always, we are always available before or after the consultation meeting to answer any questions that you may have.
If you’d like to schedule a consultation meeting with us, please refer to our Contact page, or call us on (281) 391-1015 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to chatting with you!
