She’s an invaluable pet care resource. Here is her Houston pet sitter spotlight.
Excellence in Care
Jaime Standley spent thirteen years in the animal care industry before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In 2018, she joined the Animal Admiration team as an administrative assistant and pet sitter. In 2020 she was promoted to Office Manager.
Jaime shares her home with her husband of eighteen years and their two sons, whom she homeschools. In addition, she is a pet mom to a chihuahua named Murphy, whom she adopted from Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue. In her spare time, Jaime enjoys trips to the beach, gardening, scrapbooking, crocheting, and painting.
Jaime’s past pets include dogs, cats, turtles, fish, birds, iguanas, and more! Before focusing her attention on her family, Jamie worked at a pet store as a sales associate, at Cinco Ranch Animal Hospital as a kennel technician, at Special Paws Rescue as a kennel technician and adoption counselor, and at a pet care facility. With experience working in reception, kennel, dog attendant positions, and dog group daycare at Rover Oaks Pet Resort – Katy, Jamie is a wealth of knowledge on dog behavior, dog-on-dog interactions, and overall dog wellness. She is passionate about meeting the physical, emotional, and mental needs of every pet she has the pleasure to impact. Helping pets and their families thrive is her priority.
Excellence in Education
Jaime has an Associate’s Degree in Science from Houston Community College and plans to go back to school to study Marine Biology. In the meantime, she is passionate about researching and discussing many different aspects of pet care, pet health, and more as Animal Admiration’s official blogger.
From addressing how to keep our four-legged friends happy while traveling to visiting local pet-friendly restaurants, Jaime is a local expert on all things pet related.
